Frontiers of Genomics

Genomics is the core of biology. Genomics has completely changed the way we see life and revolutionizing how we do biology.

A very large scale data from population genomes is almost redefining human history by accurately mapping genetic variants

of all the major ethnic groups using whole genome sequencing. New DNA manupulation technologies are providing advanced

sequencing and detecting genetic elements. Large scale mapping of distant genomic elements using technologies such as

Hi-C are changing how we view genomes and life. Our frontiers of genomics sesssion addresses advanced population genomics,

new DNA manipulation technogy, long distance genome interaction mapping, and cancer genomics. These topics will hardly touch

the vast area of genomics, but they will provide some key insights on how we analyses geonome big data.
