Abstract

There are two major fundamentals in aging research. One is to alleviating aging process of biological organisms. The other is programming aging mechanism completely. These two are philosophically different. This problem lies in the concept of species and individuals of biological beings. The alleviating aging process is to engineer aging as an individual organism problem. Programming aging is beyond individual levels of aging but engineering a new type of species that can persist in time. When an individual dies, the term used is that it died. When a species dies, it is called an extinction. Therefore, programming aging to make in individual a separate species has a different philosophy and science.
